Lalmek Hydraulics is one the Sweden’s leading manufacturers of small and medium sized hydraulic power packs with electric motors up to 55 kW.

Usually we base our designs on one of our standard power packs to create a customised solution. For special requirements we can also develop and manufacture customised hydraulic power packs from the ground up.

Our strength is that we use innovative solutions where we design and build the hydraulic power pack, which means the work is performed with as low energy consumption as possible.

By manufacturing our own in-house developed components we can meet your hydraulic needs in the best possible way.

Many hydraulic power packs are installed in an environment where people work, and for this reason we almost exclusively use low noise hydraulic pumps. Which generally results in a noise level below 65 decibels.

Documentation in the form of User Guides, spare parts lists, CE certificates and hydraulic schematics are always provided with all hydraulic power packs.

All hydraulic power packs from Lalmek Hydraulics are supplied with a clear hydraulic schematic and a list of components.

A good hydraulic schematic is a prerequisite in order to program the machine’s control system, to be able to perform systematic trouble shooting in the event of malfunction and to conduct service and maintenance.

Lalmek Hydraulics’ hydraulic schematics are based on the standard ISO 1219.

An instruction manual that comprises all the instruction necessary to install and perform maintenance correctly is supplied with each hydraulic power pack.

Hydraulic power packs from Lalmek Hydraulics are CE approved according to the following directives: 2006/42/EC, EN 12100, EN 4413, EN 1219, EN 60204.

• Customised oil tanks up to 500 litres. Both the tank and cover are designed to match the wishes of the customer.

• Can be equipped with all types of valves for pressure, flow, directional valves, etc. See, for example, our pressure reversing valves, solenoid valves, valve blocks or hand pumps.

Design of the hydraulic power pack

Our basic power pack is based on a well thought out and proven concept.

All hydraulic components are mounted on the tank cover. The oil tank can be released in one simple operation which facilitates service and maintenance.

We have chosen to place the pump submerged in the hydraulic oil to give a comfortable noise level and to guarantee that cavitation does not occur. This solution also reduces the need of pipe fittings and the risk of leakage.

The hydraulic power pack is equipped with brackets for wall or floor mounting.

We use electric motors from well proven European suppliers. In order to keep energy consumption down the electric motors features high efficiency according to IE3 classification.

The adapter used to fasten the electric motor and hydraulic pump on the cover are made of cast and machined aluminium to provide stable installation and a good service life.

The hydraulic pump is submerged in the oil inside the oil reservoir to reduce the noise level and minimise the risk of cavitation. In order to reduce the noise level yet further we use hydraulic pumps of a screw pump type.

The cover has brackets where you attach the hydraulic power pack to the wall, but it can also be mounted in a frame which is placed on the floor (option). Virtually all the hydraulic components are mounted on the oil reservoir cover to facilitate component replacement and service.

The oil reservoir is secured to the cover using eccentric locks, which simplifies installation, service and cleaning.

There is a sight glass fitted to the oil reservoir to check the oil level, which can also be equipped with a thermometer to easily read the temperature of the hydraulic oil.

Level and temperature switches are used to electronically monitor and stop the system with a low oil level or too high temperature.

Pressure reversing hydraulic valves or directional valves are used e.g. to change the direction of a hydraulic cylinder when it reaches its end positions. Our pressure reversing hydraulic valve is unique in the world and has only one setting dial where you adjust the pressure that the hydraulic cylinder should use, for example, 120 bar. A control system is not required for a forward and return movement as the return stroke occurs mechanically as a result of the pressure in the system.

The valve block is used to mount valves or other equipment on the hydraulic power pack. The valve block also includes the connections needed for pipes and hoses. Valve blocks are available with or without an integrated pressure relief valve, which is easily operated using a dial with a graduated scale.

The filter pressure gauge measures the oil pressure in the return filter and shows well in advance when it is time to replace the filter.

The return filter efficiently cleans the hydraulic oil that returns to the hydraulic power pack and is a prerequisite for a long service life for both the hydraulic oil and the system components.

The return filter holder features an integrated bypass valve that opens a passage and protects the filter from being damaged if unexpected pressure peaks occur in the system. The return pipe leads the returned hydraulic oil down into the oil reservoir below the oil level to prevent any air bubbles that can propagate into the system through the hydraulic pump.

The filler cap has an integrated breather filter that vents the oil reservoir at the same time as maintaining purity, as no dirt particles can enter.

The drain plug in the bottom of the oil reservoir simplifies drainage when changing the oil.

The oil reservoir is secured to the cover using eccentric locks, which simplifies installation, service and cleaning. The oil reservoir is made of metal to help to cool the hydraulic oil.

The suction filter is located just above the bottom of the oil reservoir and is a condition for a long service life primarily on the hydraulic pump, but also other system components. The suction pipe is available in several lengths and can be angled to position the suction filter.

The shaft coupling is mounted between the motor and pump and provides a smooth start and stop of the pump. The soft intermediate section in the shaft coupling also effectively reduces vibrations and noise in the hydraulic power pack.

The seal between the oil reservoir and cover prevents external contamination entering the oil reservoir.

Standard adapters are mounted in the valve block to facilitate the connection of hoses or pipes to the remainder of the system.

A pressure hose is used to connect the pump to the valve block.

All hydraulic power packs are marked with a unique serial number to assist technical support and facilitate the supply of spare parts.
